One of the things that makes PGA Verano (PGA Village Verano) unusual is that it isn't a single audience. Inside the same gates, Kolter Homes built Cresswind — a 55+ active-adult neighborhood — alongside all-ages, family-friendly sections. Same resort amenities, two very different lifestyles. Choosing the right one matters as much as choosing the right floor plan.

I'm Danny Divito, a licensed Florida broker, and I live in PGA Verano. Here's a clear comparison to help you decide which side fits your life.

Cresswind: The 55+ Neighborhood

Cresswind at PGA Village Verano is a gated, age-restricted (55+) neighborhood within the larger community. It's designed around an active-adult lifestyle:

The All-Ages (Family) Sections

The rest of PGA Verano has no age restriction, making it a fit for working families, multigenerational households, and anyone who wants neighbors of all ages:

What Both Sides Share

No matter which side you choose, you get the full Verano amenity package:

"Both sides share the resort. The real question is the rhythm of your daily life — an active-adult community, or a mixed-age, family neighborhood."

Which Should You Choose?

Choose Cresswind (55+) if you're retired or semi-retired, want single-level low-maintenance living, value a built-in active-adult social calendar, and like the idea of a quieter, age-aligned neighborhood with its own pool and putting green. Choose an all-ages section if you have children at home, want a larger family floor plan, or simply prefer a mixed-age neighborhood. Either way, you're inside the same gates with the same amenities.

A resident's tip:

Spend an afternoon in the community before you decide. The "feel" of Cresswind versus the family sections is different, and most buyers know within an hour which one is home. I'm happy to set up tours of both.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is PGA Verano a 55+ community?

Partly. PGA Verano includes Cresswind, a gated 55+ active-adult neighborhood, plus all-ages, family-friendly sections. So you can buy either an age-restricted or a non-age-restricted home within the same community.

What's the age requirement for Cresswind?

Cresswind is age-restricted, generally requiring at least one resident to be 55 or older. Confirm the current occupancy rules for any specific home before purchasing.

Do 55+ and family residents share the same amenities?

Yes. All residents share Club Talavera, the 27-court pickleball center, tennis, pools, fitness center, and the optional PGA Golf Club affiliation. Cresswind also has its own private pool, putting green, and outdoor fitness area.

Can families with children buy in PGA Verano?

Yes — in the all-ages sections, which have no age restriction and offer larger family floor plans. The age restriction applies only to the Cresswind neighborhood.
